HELPYNESS.org is an innovative crowdfunding and crowdsourcing platform exclusively dedicated to projects of social utility and charity aimed at disadvantaged categories. The name "HELPYNESS" refers to the words "happiness" and "help", recalling the will of the members of our voluntary association to address the issue of solidarity with a new approach and in step with the times, through a less "welfare" and more responsible approach to charity, involving all the actors (proponents, beneficiaries, contributors, sympathizers, etc.) in order to involve them personally; a "social" approach which also makes it possible to increase the overall impact of the initiative and at the same time facilitate the achievement of the objectives of the proposed projects.

Crowdfunding (from the English "crowd", crowd and "funding", financing) is a phenomenon that is recently seeing a dizzying growth on the web, and consists in the possibility for people to propose projects that are financed by the crowd. It is a bottom-up micro-financing practice that mobilizes people and resources. The peculiarity of the www.helpyness.org platform is that you can donate not only in terms of money, but also time and also equipment (depending on the project). On our side, we offer, strictly free of charge, the possibility of publishing projects on the portal, giving visibility to all our contacts, also through our Newsletter and the Facebook page. Donor users can therefore register for free to donate safely (paypal or bank transfer), and no percentage is retained by HELPYNESS (just for further transparency, the only expenses - however limited - are given by the donation commissions, as for each donation received through PayPal, an amount equal to 1.8% + € 0.35 per transaction (*) is withheld from our account; in any case we are already contacting several banks to start important partnerships with HELPYNESS, in order to be able to support these expenses as well that PayPal imposes; the commissions of the transfers obviously depend on the characteristics of the current account of the donors, often nil in the case of online current accounts). HELPYNESS will involve an Advisory Board to evaluate the genuineness / feasibility of the project, for the purpose of publication. At the end of the campaign Helpyness sends the bank transfer together with a detailed report of the donations. In exchange, we only ask for a report (by means of photos, videos, and / or other supporting material) that can testify to the donors where their donations have gone (in fact, a web page will be set up with the report of the funded project).
